The 4th U.S. Infantry is a group for Civil War enthusiasts and re-enactors. It is one of many Union chapters in the Washington Civil War Association, one of the country's largest state Civil War associations. Our forefathers, the "real" 4th U.S., fought in the Peninsular Campaign, and at Second Bull Run, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville and Gettysburg. They were also present at General Lee's surrender at Appomattox.
